After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BSc Arch degree in 1963, Mr. Newbrook started his long career working with three of his professors. Two years later he started a 17 year stint at the Robinson Green Beretta Corporation where, as a Project Architect and Vice President, his work included four high rise elderly housing projects, 25 schools in the R I and MA area, four libraries and, most memorable, the Athletes Housing for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.

In 1983, Mr. Newbrook moved on, creating his own smaller, 6 person firm in Pawtucket, R I serving the local R I area. Not specializing in any one type of building has provided a substantial cache of projects ranging from old mill fit-ups, historic restoration, educational, municipal, light industrial and commercial. Size of the projects vary from $100,000 to $10 million. Most of our incoming work is by referrals and our recent clients. We work as teams and have brought tighter control to our projects. We have enjoyed an excellent reputation by serving our clients well; they are the most important part of our team.

Mr. Newbrook has been part of the community serving in leadership roles in the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, Pawtucket Rotary Club and the Slater Mill Historic Site. As an interest in the economics of the region he has served on the Northern Rhode Island Economic Development Foundation, the Economic Foundation of Rhode Island, several boards for the City of Pawtucket.

He serves the State and Profession by chairing the Board of Examination and Registration of Architects, Chair of the R I Building Commission, the Vice Chair of the R I Fire Safety Code Board of Appeal and Vice Chair of the R I Rehabilitation Board of Review.
